RJ Taylor Joins Phired Up and TechniPhi Leadership Team

Carmel, Ind. — RJ Taylor joined the Phired Up and TechniPhi leadership team on April 1st as the Assistant Vice President of Education & Strategy. In this role, RJ has assumed responsibility for the day-to-day management and leadership of our education team, and will begin delivering training and strategic consultation services for clients this summer. He joins Phired Up after leading the operations and development for Wanderlust Outfitters in Southwest Michigan, and brings over five years of recruitment and expansion experience from his time as part of the Alpha Tau Omega senior management team.
“In my experiences talking with RJ about life, entrepreneurship, or creativity, I always leave feeling challenged as a leader, and with a new idea,” said Woody Woodcock, Vice President of Education and Strategy. “He helps you believe that something more than your current reality is possible. I know he will contribute early on to improving our staff culture, our customer experience, and our education experience. During his days at ATO we both wondered would it ever be possible to work together. That dream became real starting April 1st.”
RJ earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Leadership from Austin Peay State University in 2012, where he joined his fraternity Alpha Tau Omega and served on his campus Interfraternity Council and Student Government Association. During his time as part of the Alpha Tau Omega staff, he helped implement a growth process that grew the organization’s average new chapter starting size from 28 to 55 new members, and successfully participated in the creation and execution of 23 expansions and 16 chartered chapters.

In his most recent role with Wanderlust Outfitters as their Operations and Development Manager, RJ supervised a large team and was responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations of the start-up business while crafting a special company culture. He will bring these experiences in leadership, systems management, organizational growth, and company culture development to this new role as a leader within Phired Up and TechniPhi.
“There is a fundamental hope found in sorority and fraternity that is as relevant today as any time in history,” said RJ. “I’m honored to join a team on the frontlines fighting to promote and protect that hope. Building community, inspiring change, and developing people is the work I was created to do. I’m excited to be able to do that work alongside phun phriends.”
When RJ isn’t working, he enjoys hiking, biking, camping, going to the beach, and spending time with friends at his favorite local brewery. He is also an avid reader, having already completed 25 books so far in 2020. RJ, his wife Kayla, and their daughter Ada are on a mission to visit every country in the world and have currently visited 37 of 196 countries.
