Tools For Teaching Fraternity Recruitment

by Matt Mattson

Now is the right time to start teaching your newest fraternity members how to recruit! I wrote about this recently.  If you have a copy of Good Guys or the Dynamic Recruitment DVD for Fraternities, now is the time to maximize the value of those resources.

Teaching your new members information and skills that will help them build a successful chapter has been a passion of mine for a long time.  It is one thing to recruit new fraternity brothers, it is a totally separate thing to retain them and teach them what they need to know (see here and here).

So, after distributing copies of our book and DVD to every chapter at a school in Colorado, I wanted to be able to teach them how to really maximize those resources.  Their IFC invested in some great educational materials, but I wasn’t there to teach them how to use it when it was distributed… So, I made a video.  I thought others might benefit from the video.

  • Is this the cheesiest video I’ve ever made.  Honestly, no.
  • Was I having a “fun with my web cam” day?  Yep.
  • Is the video helpful?  I think so…
  • Was I wearing pants while filming this?  What do you think?

Thanks for reading and watching.
